Graceland Portable Buildings Warranties

GRACELAND PROPERTIES, LLC (“GRACELAND”) MAKES THE FOLLOWING ONE-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY ON YOUR ECONOMY SERIES SHED OR PORTABLE BUILDING PRODUCT (“BUILDING”). WE STAND BY THE QUALITY OF OUR BUILDINGS AND AIM TO PROVIDE YOU WITH THE ASSURANCE YOU NEED WHEN MAKING YOUR PURCHASE. WARRANTY IS TO THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER (BUYER) AND MAY NOT BE TRANSFERRED TO ANY SUBSEQUENT PURCHASERS.

WARRANTY COVERAGE

This limited warranty covers defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year. Graceland will repair or replace any components that do not provide reasonable service under normal residential use.

WARRANTY PERIOD

The warranty commences on the date of installation and continues for a period of one year.

EXCLUSIONS

Graceland will not be liable for the natural characteristics of wood to split, warp or twist; or imperfections found in treated wood due to the treatment process. This warranty does not apply to preowned or clearance products. This limited warranty extends only to defects in materials or workmanship and does not extend to any product or part which has been discarded by you, or damage to your shed caused by misuse, accident, improper maintenance, improper use, vandalism, or to units which have been altered or modified without the authorization of Graceland. Some materials in your building have warranties from the respective manufacturers of those materials and are not provided by or serviced by Graceland. This warranty becomes immediately void when a Graceland building is altered in any way that alters the original structure or converts it into a finished space, this includes but is not limited to the installation of climate control systems, sheetrock “finishing”, insulating, or other finish work that alters the building. This limited warranty does not extend to acts of God or a casualty which is customarily covered by homeowners’ insurance as further described below in Limitations of Liability. This warranty does not cover stain, paint or stain/paint adherence beyond one year from delivery. Broken windows, lost keys and door knob replacements are also excluded. For this warranty to be valid the customer must take reasonable steps to care for the building as outlined in the following section titled “Your Responsibility”.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITY

The above warranties are subject to the following conditions:

1. You must retain your sales order and proof of purchase.

2. Notify Graceland within 30 days of discovering a defect in your shed as outlined in the Claims section below.

3. All warranty servicing of the product must be made by Graceland or its agent unless otherwise approved by Graceland.

4. You must perform routine maintenance including but not limited to:

a. Repainting exterior surfaces of the building to avoid exposure to the elements.

b. Sealing exterior pressure treated wood every 18 months.

c. Adjusting door and window latches as needed.

d. Maintain the grounds surrounding the building to keep vegetation under control that could damage the unit.

e. Keep the area under and around your shed drained and dry.

f. Re-leveling adjustments from natural settling due to ground conditions.

i. Settling is a normal occurrence and re-leveling due to settling is not covered under this warranty.

CLAIMS

To obtain warranty servicing, you should fill out the online Warranty Claim Form on the Graceland website at: gracelandpb.com/warranty, within (30) days of finding a defect in your building. You will be asked to provide details of the issue, pictures, proof of maintenance, and proof of purchase. Our team will guide you through the claim process. REPAIR COVERAGE

Graceland will cover all labor and material costs for the repair of defective products, the amount shall not exceed the original purchase price of the building.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Graceland’s liability under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of defective products, not to exceed the purchase price. All other warranties, express or limited, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose are hereby disclaimed. Graceland shall have no liability for punitive, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to damages to contents of your building and lost profits. The total liability of Graceland under this warranty, including labor, is limited to the original purchase price of your building.

Graceland does not assume and does not authorize any other person to assume for it any other liability in connection with the sale of this building. Unless otherwise covered by supplier warranty, this warranty shall not apply to any Graceland product or any part thereof which has been damaged by fire, flood, water, earthquake, earth movement, hail, wind, rot, termites, insects, vegetation, damage from sprinklers, adverse weather conditions, vandalism, theft, act of God, accident or other event, or a casualty which is customarily covered by homeowners’ insurance. As built, Graceland buildings are not intended for use as a full-time habitable dwelling. The warranty does not cover damage caused by abuse, misuse, alteration, movement of the shed by anyone not authorized by Graceland, neglect, normal wear and tear, or improper maintenance. Graceland makes no warranties whatsoever with respect to accessories or parts incorporated into your building where the supplier or manufacturer of those materials has warranties on such materials which exceed the warranty set forth above. Graceland assumes no liability thereunder and the Buyer must assert any claim under such warranties against such supplier or manufacturer. The terms “Original Purchaser” and “Buyer”, as used in this warranty, shall mean that person for whom the Graceland product is originally assembled and installed. The warranty does not extend to subsequent owners of the shed. This warranty shall apply only within the boundaries of the Continental United States.

The Buyer acknowledges that no other representations or warranties were made to or relied upon by him or her with respect to the quality or function of the goods herein sold. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, and/or do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.

TRANSFERABILITY

This warranty is non-transferable and is only valid for the original purchaser of the product. By using our product, you agree to the terms and conditions of this warranty. Please keep a copy of this warranty and your receipt as proof of purchase.
